My name is Nick Romano and I’m the CEO and a co-founder of Prinova. I’d like to welcome you to Prinova’s new Blog site and hope you will find the content helpful and informative. It’s been an incredibly fulfilling ride since Steve and I decided it was time to do our own thing back in the fall of ’98. From that fateful discussion in the parking lot of BMO’s data center to the creation of a world-class services team, the launch of our game-changing Messagepoint customer message management platform and our recent move to our new World Headquarters on the shores of Lake Ontario, Prinova has been a very exciting place to be indeed. It finally took my wife and kids to knock Prinova off the top of the coolest thing I’ve ever done with my life!
“Good is the enemy of great”. Thank you, Jim Collins. I love that line. It sounds crazy but I think about it every day. I ask myself, am I being good or am I being great? Simple words that keep me going. The name Prinova is derived from 2 words that jumped off the whiteboard during a brainstorming scrum in Steve’s dining room. Prinova is based on our roots in the “print” world as well as our obsession with “innovation”. Over the years we have evolved from print shop systems integrator to world-class customer communications management platform. Great in software. Great in services. I love this job!
As CEO, my job is to align our teams so that we can profitably deliver on our mission: To enable our customers to drive their customers’ behavior, revenue and retention through highly personalized and relevant messages delivered when, where and how they want. What makes Prinova so exciting for me are all the moving parts of our organization and the tools we have at our disposal to truly enhance the way our customers communicate with their customers. We are always looking for better ways to make that happen. It’s fun and challenging to keep the entrepreneurial spirit and drive going. The Prinova team is a great and dedicated group of individuals that are second to none and we are proud to be a 14-year-old startup!!
As we embark on the next phase of our journey I hope you will stay tuned and we’ll share with you the nitty-gritty of how we plan to influence the world one personalized message at a time. The last back of the envelop calculation I did sum up to roughly 10 billion messages that have been processed by Prinova solutions globally delivered to millions of people. That is awesome!
