Steve Biancaniello, P. Eng, EDP,  CEO

As CEO, Steve possesses over 15 years of experience in the customer communications management space. He is the architect of Messagepoint’s highly regarded Integrated Approach methodology and is a leading expert on the design, development and management of enterprise-class customer touchpoints. His strategic consulting and facilitation skills have enabled Messagepoint to help many Fortune 1000 companies transform the way they communicate with their customers. Steve has a B.A.Sc. (Systems Design Engineering) and M.A.Sc. (Management Sciences – Information Systems) from the University of Waterloo, in Waterloo ON.

Daren Selfe, Chief Financial Officer

As Messagepoint’s Chief Financial Officer, Daren is responsible for providing leadership and direction in the development and execution of the company’s financial strategy. Together with his team, Daren ensures strong financial management to allow for profitable growth. Prior to joining Messagepoint, Daren held CFO roles at other high growth public and private IT companies over the past 15 years including OnX Enterprise Solutions and Doxim. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and a CPA, CA designation.

Michael Charest, EVP Global Sales

Michael brings over 15 years of domestic and international sales leadership expertise to Messagepoint. Prior to joining Messagepoint, Michael has held various senior technology leadership roles, including Vice President of Sales with GMC Software Technology and Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at NetLaw, a SaaS-based B2B solution for delivering digital estate planning services. Charest also played a significant role in the success of Exstream Software (now OpenText Exstream), having joined the company in 2000 as a regional sales director and subsequently promoted to group VP to manage the company’s financial services division. Charest also launched and managed Exstream’s insurance division, transforming it into the market leader and the largest revenue-producing unit for the company. Michael has an MBA from the University of North Florida.

Chris Miller, EVP Product Development

Chris Miller has spent more than 18 years in product management, working closely with customers globally to build a broad range of both on-premise and cloud-based enterprise solutions. Based in Messagepoint’s Toronto headquarters, Chris is responsible for driving the strategic direction and roadmap for the Messagepoint product line. Chris brings a global perspective and understanding to building great products; he has lived and worked in Canada, the United States and Europe. Prior to joining Messagepoint, Chris took a leadership role in guiding the direction of product lines for Symantec, Sage, and Eloqua. Chris is a graduate of the University of Toronto.

Patrick Kehoe, EVP Product Management

Patrick Kehoe has over 25 years of experience delivering business solutions for document processing, customer communications, and content management. As EVP of Product Management, Patrick drives product strategy and messaging in collaboration with Product Development. Prior to joining Messagepoint, Patrick was Worldwide Head of OpenText Exstream, He has managed, architected, and delivered comprehensive solutions, including BPO for customers in healthcare, financial services, banking, manufacturing, and retail/distribution markets. Patrick has an acute understanding of how to achieve results by focusing on the customer, identifying the problem, and applying the appropriate technology.

Drew Coderre, VP Human Resources

Drew is an accomplished Human Resources Leader who has enjoyed impressive results working as a strategic HR Business Partner. In his role at Messagepoint, Drew’s focus is the development and implementation of the corporate Human Resources strategy and roadmap. Drew held a number of senior HR leadership roles with two global, industry-leading technology companies, Sun Microsystems and Compaq, and also with smaller Canadian companies. Throughout his career, he always maintained a continuing commitment to learn and understand the needs of the business and subsequently develop and execute an effective HR strategy that translates executive goals and vision into operational programs and strategies. A graduate of McGill University, he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a Major in Industrial Relations.


John Nitti, VP Professional Services

Nitti brings more than 25 years of professional services and sales experience in the enterprise software and services industry. Prior to joining Messagepoint, Nitti led Professional Services for several software companies. In 2002 he joined Exstream Software (now part of OpenText) as VP of Professional Services. He played several key roles in management for Exstream in Customer Delivery as well as head of Sales for Diversified Services. His most recent role was as Senior Vice President of Global Sales for Saggezza, a global technology solution provider.


Carol Ann West, VP Messagepoint Services

Carol Ann brings over 20 years of IT experience to Messagepoint’s services practice. She has a solid background in software implementation and a high standard of customer satisfaction for every client engagement. Carol Ann is driven to understand customer requirements and ensure that our Messagepoint solution meet the business needs. Carol Ann leads the team which is responsible for providing Messagepoint services, including software installation, application design within Messagepoint, software training and ongoing support. Carol Ann has directed application development teams at large financial companies and has broad expertise in application development, project management and business continuity. She was Director, Business Continuity for Sun Life Financial prior to joining Messagepoint’s professional service practice in 2007. Carol Ann has a Bachelor of Mathematics – Combinatorics and Optimization from the University of Waterloo.

Ed Worsfold, VP Marketing

Ed is a strategic business leader bringing over 15 years of experience in designing and marketing innovative B2B technology products and solutions for private and public software companies. As Vice President, Marketing, Ed is responsible for all strategic and operational aspects of Messagepoint’s global marketing functions, including marketing strategy, inbound and outbound communications, events, product and online marketing. Prior to joining Messagepoint, Ed was Director of Marketing with NexJ Systems and held a leadership role at Dundas Data Visualization. Ed has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph.
