1. What is Messagepoint all about?
   Messagepoint is a service to help you simplify your communications and bring all your messages together into one place.
   
   
2. What do I get when I sign up for a Messagepoint Account?
   You will receive your own private phone number (in your choice of city around the world, for example 0207 London or 917 New York), an email address, a username and password. You can either forward your existing phone to the new number or choose to receive all calls on this number.
   
   
3. What about security?
   Your Messagepoint account is protected via username and password, which only you have access to. Messagepoint is more secure than having your faxes sitting around on the fax machine or having your voicemail waiting on an answering machine for hours. Now messages come direct to you.
   
   
4. Do my friends, family and associates also have to be Messagepoint members?
   No, with Messagepoint you are given a public phone number you can call from any phone. You are also given a Messagepoint email address, which anyone can send messages to.

1. Will my computer work with Messagepoint?
   Messagepoint works with web browsers Internet Explorer and Netscape 4.0 and higher, and America Online 4.0 and higher. Messagepoint also works with the operating systems Apple Mac OS, Windows 95, 98, NT, and 2000. To fully enjoy Messagepoint you will need computer speakers and a sound card.
   
   
2. What additional software do I need?
   None. Just the web browser that comes with your computer.
   
   
3. What hardware do I have to buy?
   None is required as you can operate Messagepoint over the web from any Internet cafe.
   
   
4. Does my computer need speakers to use Messagepoint?
   Even if your computer does not have speakers, you can still use Messagepoint for your voicemail, email and fax messages. Voicemail can be collected through any phone and access your email and faxes from your web inbox.
   
   
5. Does it work with my mobile phone?
   Yes, Messagepoint works with any phone. You can either choose to forward all calls from your mobile phone number to Messagepoint OR the other way around, forward all calls from your Messagepoint number (e.g. an NYC or London landline number) to your mobile.
   
   
6. What about my existing email?
   Messagepoint gives you your own email address. But we can also work with your existing email. This is done by collecting email from the POP3 account, which is behind your existing email. We call this email consolidation as this brings all your accounts into one place.
   
   
7. What about the voicemail on my mobile phone?
   If your mobile has an existing voicemail service we can also work with that. You can either forward calls on your mobile number to Messagepoint (for example after 4 rings of no answer) OR you can use your Messagepoint number as your primary phone number to hand out and divert all calls from that number to your mobile.
   
   
8. Do I have to change my Internet Service Provider (ISP)?
   No, you can choose to receive your faxes on your existing ISP email account OR we can retrieve email from your ISP.

1. What will happen when someone rings my Messagepoint number?
   If you have your number set to voicemail then they will hear the voicemail greeting. If you have Follow Me / Find Me diverts enabled then this number can divert to any phone in the world that you specify.
   
   
2. Can I use Messagepoint while travelling abroad?
   Yes. Messagepoint is ideal for travellers. You can collect all your messages via the Messagepoint web inbox from any Internet cafe or via any phone.
   
   
3. How do I collect my email over the phone?
   Messagepoint's text-to-speech technology "reads" out the email to you in a computerized voice. You can then reply to the email by simply pressing a button and Messagepoint will then send back a recording of your reply to the return email address.
